FOOD WASTE SMART BIN PROGRAM

When we introduced the City of Albany food waste drop-off program in 2020 we started with two drop-off locations. One at the Radix Ecological Sustianability Center in the Southend of Albany and one at the Tivoli Preserve Farm in the West Hill neighborhood.

We are incredibly excited to announce the addition of ten new drop-off locations. The new drop-off locations will consist of a secured "Smart Bin" which will be accessible 24/7 by City of Albany residents participating in the drop-off program. 

The Smart Bins will be located throughout the City of Albany and will be accesible via a downloadable phone application and card to be provided to participants free of charge.

In the coming months we will have more information regarding the Smart Bin Program.
