Paper Shredding and Book Recycling Events
Albany Department of General Services sponsors two (2) FREE Paper Shredding events each year. Albany residents can bring documents to be shredded on-site. DGS also collects hard and soft-cover books for recycling.
Books are NOT redistributed/reused.
Please try to transport papers to be shredded in boxes, reusable totes, or paper bags. They will be returned once your paper has been dumped.
Residents will have the opportunity to watch their paper being shredded.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be holding our October Paper Shredding and Book Recycling event.
