Cardboard Recycling


Cardboard - a generic term for a heavy-duty paper.  Other names for cardboard include cardstock, display board, grey board, paperboard and pressed cardboard.


Corrugated Cardboard ­- a paper-based material consisting of a fluted corrugated sheet and one or two flat linerboards. It is widely used in the manufacture of corrugated boxes and shipping containers.

  • Corrugated Shipping Boxes
  • Non-Food Boxes

- Gift Boxes

- Heath Care Products

- Dry Goods Products

- Outer Cover/Boxes (i.e. outer sleeve over a plastic DVD/CD case)

  • Food Boxes

- Cereal Boxes
- Cookie and Snack boxes
- Pasta Boxes

- Frozen Food Boxes

  • Pressed Cardboard
  • Egg Cartons
  • Drink holders
  • Cardstock
  • Toilet Paper Tubes
  • Paper Towel Tubes




Note: The following types of Cardboard are not recyclable

  • Foiled Lined Boxes
  • Wax Coated Boxes
  • Pizza Boxes (Pizza Boxes can be recycled only if they are not soiled)
